Our methods of construction are constantly evolving as new technologies surface. All boards are constructed from materials of the highest quality thanks to our close knit relationship with independent suppliers. While our boards will never be entirely indestructable, they are built to withstand a beating and our constructions are tailored for affordability to all.

Why Epoxy?

Above all else the lack of harmful voc's and toxins related with epoxy dictate our decision but furthermore it is a far superior resin! The Benefits of epoxy resin have been known since its introduction into the composite world being as it was developed to replace the inferior polyester resin. Whereas polyester has microfracturing and brittle tendancies, Epoxy cures to a hard a durable solid that still maintians an ample amount of elongation that polyester resin could never dream of . What does this mean? This means your spectacular new surfboard will be more resilient to snapping because when it reaches that critical moment, instead of remaining stiff and buckeling unfer force it will instead distribute load throughout the board as the flex absorbs the impact .

Why EPS?

Shaping a surfboard is a fancy way of playing with foam. Within the industry hundreds of formulations have been tested and a handful have stood the test of time. Although, we have and still make boards from a wide array these foams we have found solitude with eps due to its lack of toxicity, superior strength:weight characteristics and compatability with superior materials. We also use many high density foams within our cores to encapsulate the eps and gain the superior dent resitance with liveliness of a flexible core.

Shortboard

E-Vac: Sheets of aerospace grade fiberglass are cured with epoxy under pressure around an eps core. Comes standard with a semi-gloss finish and middle weight glassing which provides a stronger, more bouyant, and noticably lighter surfboard than the industry's typical polyester surfboard.

S-Vac: Multiple layers of strictly aerospace grade S-Glass are cured with epoxy under high pressure around an lightweight eps core. These boards typically with a semi-gloss and lightweight glassing which in this construction provides a board equally as strong as a standard-vac with our heaviest glassing.

Pro-Vac:  A careful recipe of complimentary fabrics are infused with epoxy resin and finalized with a lightweight sanded finish. With this construction we combine all of our best methods and materials to produce a much stronger end product. This board will be extremely hard to ding yet still provide a lively recoil, resistant to snapping and very lightweight. This is my preferred method of laminating but it does cost a little bit more, which is why we still offer other glassing options.
