The outline of your board will commenly be referred to as the shape. While many factors contribute to the performance of a board, on a skimboard this is the main eyeball factor on performance. The width and length contribute to surface area which equals flots. The curves on the outline will determine how loose and responsive the board will become when initiating turns and handeling the face of the wave. My two main shapes are based on a competition and fun.

Rocker

As your board glides over the water you will notice diferent sensations ranging from speed, manuverability and stability.

The variables in shape that compose your board gratify themselves in culmination with the perfect rocker. The curve along the bottom of your board will aid not only in reaching the waves but also in your ability to maximize the waves potential. An ideal rocker will maintain the maximum planing surface possible while also providing a calculated and sufficient arc that will turn your board into a hot knife on butter.

More of a fun shape that can hold its ground. Much wider nose will really come alive for bigger guys who drive off theyre front foot. Skatey and the wider outline makes it a bit easier to break free quickly for tech and handle foamy/ later wraps a bit easier . Lots of float with a forward widepoint, but plenty of hold on a  standard pinned tail.

Our more traditional shape will handle anything you run at.  Tighter nose and recessed wide point makes it wrap fast and find speed quickly. Great for liners and did i say FAST? Not quite as user friendly as the Stche but definitely the board if your looking to take your skimming to the next level.
